



Buddy Halligan
Chief Audio Engineer
Previously the Chief Audio Engineer at the USC School of Cinematic Arts and an adjunct professor, Buddy now oversees all Engineering Support at Sound Lab, ensuring the studios are maintained in top condition with the latest updates. Before his time at USC, he was the Senior Audio Engineer at Bell Sound Studios in Hollywood for many years, where he recorded, edited, and mixed numerous national commercials, as well as music for commercials, TV, and film. Buddy has also designed, built, and upgraded systems and facilities throughout his career at Bell Sound, USC, and now at Sound Lab.
Buddy’s passion has always been audio and music, but equally, it’s the people he has been privileged to work with. He has had the honor of recording musical legends such as Ray Charles, Steven Stills, Johnny Cash, and Barry White. On the voiceover side, he has worked with iconic actors including Jack Lemmon, Elizabeth Taylor, George Burns, Alec Baldwin, Lyle Lovett, Rob Lowe, and Rodney Dangerfield.
When Buddy isn’t at work, he loves to travel and explore new places, people, and adventures. These adventures often revolve around great food, as he’s a self-proclaimed foodie who also loves to cook.
