

Toma Otowa is a BAFTA Award–winning transpacific composer for film, television, and AAA video games. In 2026, his score for Ghost of Yōtei won both the BAFTA Games Award for Music and the D.I.C.E. Award for Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition.
Mentored by Mark Mothersbaugh, Otowa has contributed to scores for studio films, including Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, The Croods: A New Age, and Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation.
Otowa trained in the Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television program at the USC Thornton School of Music, and studied conducting with Alan Gilbert, former Music Director of the New York Philharmonic. He has had the honor and privilege of conducting his scores with orchestras and choirs around the world.
