

Marco Valerio Antonini is a Los Angeles-based, classically trained Italian composer of music for film, TV, and video games. His work spans from over-the-top comedy scoring for orchestra to drama combining organic and electronic elements into modern, unexplored soundscapes.
He recently contributed music to several seasons of the EA/Bioware AAA franchise Star Wars: The Old Republic, as well as WB Games’ multi-IP fighting game Multiversus.
He won several awards including the prestigious Krakow Film Music Festival Young Talent Award and the Juan Gil International Soundtrack Prize.
He also collaborated as an orchestrator with composer Jeff Beal on projects such as House of Cards (Netflix) and JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass (directed by Oliver Stone).
A long-time collaboration with composer Gordy Haab saw Marco engaged in writing additional music for AAA titles such as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (Bethesda), Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (EA), Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (EA), and Halo Wars 2 (Microsoft).
A graduate of the USC Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television program, he is an alumnus of the ASCAP TV & Film Scoring Workshop with Richard Bellis in Los Angeles, and was awarded for his achievements in the program.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Composition and Orchestration from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Music in Rome, Italy, where he also attended the film scoring master class Fotogrammi e Pentagrammi, taught by the Oscar-winning composer Nicola Piovani (Life is Beautiful).
He composed the original music for the Cinecittà / Luce critically acclaimed documentary PROFEZIA. L’Africa di Pasolini, about the famous Italian poet. This film was invited to the 70° International Venice Film Festival.
That successful experience started a continued collaboration with the Istituto Luce Cinecittà documentary production company.
He then moved to the United States, continuing his career in film and TV scoring, and expanding his area of interest to include interactive media.
He won the prestigious Juan Gil International Soundtrack Competition, which culminated in a concert featuring the Film Symphony Orchestra in Madrid, performing his piece Land – A Story of Belonging, opening a program featuring music by composers such as John Williams, Bruce Broughton, and Hans Zimmer.
In 2020, he completed the score for COVID-19 Ground Zero, a feature drama about the condition of frontline workers during the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic in New York City. The score was recorded remotely with a socially distanced symphony orchestra in Budapest, Hungary.
He recently scored the upcoming multicultural romantic action comedy Chindia, directed by Sikandar Sidhu. The score combines the tradition of acoustic romcom scoring with traditional instruments from India and China.
