Joshua Michael Carro is a versatile multimedia artist, percussionist, producer, teacher, and composer. Carro is recognized for his innovative contributions to sound and visual art, with a focus on developing new methods of graphic modular composition for instruments of any kind, enhanced by electro-acoustic and visual elements.

In addition to his extensive research in composition, music technology, production, North Indian Classical Tabla, and social artistic behavior, Carro is experienced in composing for interactive music systems and implementing them into projects. His work spans AAA and indie games (Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, Borderlands 4), film and television (Netflix, National Geographic), concert spaces, and recordings worldwide.

Carro is a core member of Ehnahre, an extreme metal ensemble and contemporary composition collective based in Boston, Massachusetts. The group’s music uniquely blends elements of contemporary classical music, aleatoric music, doom metal, and death metal, incorporating extended techniques, serialism, free improvisation, and extreme metal styles.

Carro’s solo project, [[[personablack]]], represents the pinnacle of his sound and artistic research. This electro-acoustic drumming project explores the intersection of antiquity and modern experimental noise, integrating advanced software tools such as Ableton Live, Max for Live, and Isotonik Studios. With over 150 compositions and 30 albums, [[[personablack]]] demonstrates Carro's commitment to pushing the boundaries of music, described by critics as “both cuts destroy the opposition.” Carro’s work has been performed, broadcast, and celebrated across the globe, showcasing his dedication to artistic and technical mastery in multimedia expression.
