Patrik Andrén

Composer

Patrik Andrén is an award-winning Swedish composer and producer for video games, film, and TV based in Stockholm. He is best known for his music in the TV series The Bridge (Bron, four seasons) and the AAA Electronic Arts video games Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 5 (2015-2020).

Andrén grew up in a musical family and began writing and playing piano in bands at an early age. He later moved to Boston to earn a Degree in Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music. After returning to Stockholm, he began working as a musician and keyboardist—producing, writing, and touring with various artists—before his journey in film music commenced.

A protégé of composer Johan Söderqvist, Andrén was offered the opportunity to compose high-profile scores for Department Q: The Keeper of Lost Causes (Kvinnan i Buret) and The Absent One (Fasandräparna) and contributed music to the scores for Kon-Tiki (Academy Award-nominated), Serena (starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence), and The King’s Choice (Kongens Nei), among other projects.

In October 2022, Andrén’s music was featured as part of DICE’s 30th Anniversary Concert in Stockholm, alongside composers such as Hildur Guðnadóttir and Gordy Haab. The spectacle concert was produced in partnership with the Swedish Royal Opera and featured bespoke projections and visuals by artist Andreas Nilsson.
